Regular readers of my blog know my love for different types of nail art. Post pregnancy it was difficult for me to do so but now my cutie pie is 11 months old & allows her mumma some “Me time’🙎 . Strange but whenever I apply nail paint Aarav starts biting my fingers 😜.When it comes about nail paint/lacquer every girl should have few basic shades and Gold is one of them. I recently bought Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer Bold Gold.

Packaging: It comes in a cylindrical bottle with a black colored screw cap. The shade name and number is embossed on the top of the cap. The brush is pretty nice as well. Overall the packaging is pretty nice & easily carried.
My opinion about the product: It is a warm, rich gold metallic. The finish is somewhat brushstrokey but with top coat it looks quite smooth, soft, almost burnished. Gold is a must have shade in every girl’s vanity especially in case of Indian girls as it goes well with most of the Indian outfits. The need also arise if you are a nail art lover as then it becomes a necessity.
Two or three swipes are generally needed to get the desired result. I applied this polish twice to get a swatch that looked well enough for a photograph. The formula dries off within few minutes. Brand claims that it is a gel based formula but I don’t think so. Here I painted my one nail pink and rest with this nail paint; I simply loved this combination 😘. It lasts nearly for about 3 or 4 days on my nails then it slowly starts chipping off.
What I like about this product….
1. Must have kind of shade.
2. Dries quickly.
3. Stayed on my nails for 3-4 days without any chipping
4. Nice packaging.
5. Easy availability.
What I do not like about this product…..
1. The finish is somewhat brushstrokey.
2. Quantity is less than the regular ones
